Powering the BSVI iteration of the Hero Xtreme 200S is still the 200cc single-cylinder unit. However, this time around Hero has made it oil-cooled instead of the air-cooled unit of the previous. The power and torque ratings are 17.8PS at 8,500rpm and 16.4 Nm at 6,500rpm, both of which are lower compared to the BSIV's numbers of 18.4PS at 8,000rpm and 17.1Nm at 6,500rpm. The addition of the oil-cooler and also the presence of the cat-con in the exhaust is said to have increased the kerb weight of the vehicle, which now tips the scale at 154.5kg.
Commenting on the launch, Naveen Chauhan, Head Sales and Aftersales, Hero MotoCorp, said, "The new Xtreme 200S showcases our focused approach to the premium segment.
