2021 Ducati Monster range launched in India, prices start from Rs 10.99 lakh

Ducati has been on a spree this year as they have added quite a number of bikes to their Indian lineup and don't seem like they intend to take a pause. The latest addition is the all-new Ducati Monster range which starts at Rs 10.99 lakh.

Over the discontinued Monster 821, the new-gen Monster receives significant cosmetic changes, making it appear more threatening. The oval-shaped LED headlamp, back panel, muscular fuel tank design and multi-barrel upswept exhaust with a slash-cut design all contribute to this.

The integrated LED DRL harkens back to the Monster's predecessor. Inspired by the Panigale V4, the single-piece thin seat widens the back to meet the side panels.

The new Monster receives a new engine, a 937cc liquid-cooled Testastretta L-twin with Desmodromic distribution and BS6 homologation from Testastretta. The new engine boosts displacement, power, torque, and reduces weight by 2.4 kg over the previous 821. It now produces 112PS at 9,250 rpm and a maximum torque of 93 Nm at just 6,500 rpm.

Full-LED lighting and a 4.3-inch TFT digital instrument display with Bluetooth connectivity are among the features of the new-generation Monster. It has three different riding modes, urban, touring and sport. The naked motorbike is loaded with rider-assist technologies, including traction control, cornering ABS, ride-by-wire, wheelie control and a bi-directional quick-shifter, among others.

Ducati Red and Dark Stealth with black wheels, as well as Aviator Grey with GP Red wheels, are available on the new Monster. A Plus version in the same colours is available for those who prefer a bike with an even sportier look, and it comes standard with an aerodynamic windscreen and a rear seat cover.

The Ducati Plus variant starts at Rs 11.24 lakh onwards.
