Maruti Suzuki's Nexa sales channel completes 6 years in India
In a bid to offer a curated premium experience, Maruti Suzuki introduced its Nexa range of dealerships in 2015. The first car offered with the Nexa chain was the S-Cross that was later joined by the Baleno, Ignis, Ciaz and XL6. As per Nexa, nearly half of its customers are below the age group of 35 years. Nexa also states that over 70% of its customers are first-time car buyers.
On the occasion, Mr Shashank Srivastava, Senior Executive Director of Marketing and Sales, MSIL said, "Driven by innovation, NEXA marks the first initiative by an automobile company to go beyond selling cars and create new formats of car buying experiences. It is our constant endeavour to keep reinventing to deliver the NEXA experience to ever-evolving customers in the field of automobile and lifestyle. With over 380 showrooms across the country, NEXA has helped us attract a new set of customers who were earlier not considering a Maruti Suzuki vehicle. The milestone of 6 years and 1.4million customers is a testimony of the trust that our customers have shown us, over the years."
Unlike Maruti Suzuki Arena, Nexa chain of dealerships holds the international range of Suzuki cars like the S-Cross, Baleno and Ignis. Maruti Suzuki also launched the XL6 and re-launched the Ciaz, shifting from Arena to Nexa dealerships. Just like the whole Maruti Suzuki line-up, Nexa is playing on sole petrol-powered cars while we expect the Japanese carmaker to announce its diesel range of cars sometime next year. To celebrate the achievement, Nexa has released a track composed by AR Rahman and Clinton Cerejo and it's called "Someone Watching Over".
